A Virginia who admitted back in January to robbing an Auburn bank in early 2022 has been sentenced to prison.

Johann Bass received two-and-a-third to seven years at his sentencing on Thursday. Bass entered the KeyBank on Genesee Street and gave a teller a note that read, “Stay calm, I have a gun, give me your money.” Bass made off with $700 in cash and was arrested a short time later in Aurora.

Elizabeth Yoensky, who served as the getaway driver, pleaded guilty to a robbery charge back in January and was sentenced to time served.
