Auburn streets will be getting a little brighter at night.
Spearheaded by Officer Mike Bufano, the Auburn Police Department will be handing out 2,500 lightbulbs donated by NYSEG to the community. Chief Slayton told city council it’s all about safety.
“It gives the opportunity, not only for the police department, but the fire department and ambulance, who respond to calls,” Slayton said. “You can see the house numbers better so this was an all around effort.”
You can pick up the LED bulbs at a drive thru event APD is hosting at City Hall’s northeast parking lot on July 15th from 9″00-11:00a.
