Seneca Falls In the History Spotlight This Weekend

Seneca Falls will be in the spotlight this weekend as it’s the annual Convention Days Celebration, honoring the first Women’s Rights Convention held in Seneca Falls in 1848.

This year marks the 175th anniversary of the convention.  It also marks the 100th anniversary of Alice Paul speaking in Seneca Falls calling for the Equal Rights Amendment.

Several prominent politicians including New York Attorney General Letitia James will visit Seneca Falls.

New York Governor Kathy Hochul is expected to visit Seneca Falls, no details on the governor’s schedule have yet been released.
