Geneva to Hold 53rd Annual MLK March and Ceremony

It’s the Martin Luther King Jr. national holiday, and for the 53rd year, Geneva will honor the slain civil rights leader.

The annual MLK ceremony this morning includes a march and church service.

The march begins at 9:30 at the Bicentennial Park.  The march goes south on Exchange Street, turns onto Castle Street, stops at City Hall, and continues on to the Mount Calvary Church of God on Milton Street.

The worship service begins at 11a.m. The keynote speaker is the Hobart and William Smith Colleges Vice President of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, Dr. Bill Woodson.

The theme this year is “Live the Dream! It starts with Me.”

Hobart and William Smith Colleges will join the Geneva MLK March.
