If you live in Auburn, you have multiple ways to help the Boy Scouts collect food for local food pantries as part of their annual Scouting for Food campaign.

Beginning Saturday, October 28, scouts will place hangers on doorknobs at houses throughout the city, asking residents to donate nonperishable food for the pantries. On November 4, they’ll be out to pick up food, which can be left on your front porch.

If you don’t live in the city or don’t receive a hanger but would still like to help, the scouts will hold two drive-in drop-off events at two locations on November 4 – the Owasco Firehouse and the parking lot of Saint Alphonsus Church – from 9:00a-12:00p.
